The Bread Winner Winner story

Our founder, Asha Jansen, bread lover, innovator and keen conservationist, was fed up with her home baked bread and bakery goods going stale and being spoiled in the blink of an eye. She was also concerned with the continued use of single use plastics being used to store and package bread.

After years of researching and product development, we at Bread Winner Winner believe we have crossed the finishing line first with a superior product which keeps all baked goods fresher for longer. The unique innovative food technology fabric lining is the only fabric of it’s kind globally, which is certified food safe, bpa free, freezer proof, breathable and waterproof!

Our storage bags are designed to allow bread to breathe, the key to storing bread. Without breathability, bread sweats and becomes soggy and mouldy very quickly - this is why plastic bags or containers aren’t the best option for storing bread.

Our bags are specifically designed to be double layered, with the outer layer being a 100% cotton canvas which protects the bread but also allows the bread to breathe. The inner lining is waterproof to keep out any additional moisture, and it too is breathable, to allow the bread to expel any excess moisture. Simply explained, it creates an ambient moisture level through optimal airflow, allowing moisture to be slowly released.  This is an ideal environment for bread, keeping it from getting too damp or too dry.

Our reusable products minimise bread/food wastage and reduce negative environmental impacts by discouraging the use of single use plastic bags, bread tags and ties to store bread.

Bread Winner Winner. Saving your dough and the environment. Win Win.
